  Notice of Adoption: NYS Code Council has adopted the New 2020 NYS Codes, Rules and Regulations and is effective starting May 12, 2020. Additional information can be found at https://www.dos.ny.gov/DCEA/ and the Town adopted the NYStretch Energy Code-2020 on December 20, 2021 and can be found under the documents section.

  Please be advised that the building department is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The building is open to the public.

  Foil requests and Property Violation Searches are also being processed.
  They should be submitted via email to buildingfoils@orangetown.com or through the town’s online system.

  Please include the following in all emails:
  1)      contact name
  2)      contact phone number
  3)      contact email
  4)      address of property
  5)      include specific detailed information as to your request
  6)      permit number if you have one

  Please note that incomplete applications cannot be accepted. To verify what is required to submit a building permit application please call the office to review the scope of work with a member of our department.
