SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2009
This Special Town Board Meeting was opened at 8:10 p.m. Supervisor Kleiner presided and the Town Clerk called the Roll. Present were:
Councilman Denis Troy
Councilwoman Marie Manning
Councilwoman Nancy Low-Hogan
Councilman Michael Maturo
Also present: Charlotte Madigan, Town Clerk
Eliot Tozer, Deputy Supervisor
John Edwards, Town Attorney
Teresa Kenny, First Deputy Town Attorney
Suzanne Barclay, Executive Assistant to the Supervisor
Charles Richardson, Director of Finance
Ron Delo, Director of the Dept. of Envtl Management & Engineering
Kevin Nulty, Chief of Police

Aric T. Gorton, Superintendent Parks-Rec. & Building Maint.
Charlotte Madigan, Town Clerk, led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
RESOLUTION NO. 343 ENTER STBM/POLICE PERSONNEL MATTERS
Councilman Troy offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilwoman Manning and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that the Town Board entered this Special Town Board meeting, at 8:10 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 344 APPOINT/POLICE OFFICER ANDREW VERGINE
Councilman Troy offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilwoman Manning and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, Andrew Vergine is hereby appointed to Police Officer/Permanent, from the Rockland County Civil Service List No. (OC) #04200, effective June 1, 2009, at a salary consistent with the terms of the Labor Agreement between the Town of Orangetown and the Orangetown Patrolman’s Benevolent Association.

RESOLUTION NO. 347 PAY VOUCHERS
Councilwoman Low-Hogan offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilwoman Manning and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that the Finance Office is hereby authorized to pay vouchers for the General Fund, Town Outside Village, Blue Hill, Broadacres, Highway, Sewer, Trust and Agency Special District, Special Parking and Capital Projects funds in the amount of $331,214.12.
