January 7, 2002

The Organizational Meeting was opened at 7:40 P.M. Supervisor Kleiner presided. The Town Clerk called the roll. Present were:

Monsignor William Belford of Saint Catharine’s Church offered the Benediction.

Supervisor Kleiner recognized the Elected Officials in attendance. He thanked Judge Ramsay, Judge Bergerman and Judge Phinney for administering the Oath of Office to the Elected Officials. Supervisor Kleiner congratulated those sworn in and thanked Monsignor Belford and Rabbi Beal for their prayers and good wishes. The Supervisor gave his State of the Town Address, a copy is labeled Exhibit 1A02 and made a part of these minutes.

The newly Elected Officials thanked all in attendance, for those who voted for them and their families for their support.

RESOLUTION NO. 1 REAPPOINT/TOWN ATTORNEY

Councilman O’Donnell offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Fisher and unanimously adopted:

RESOLVED, that James K. Riley is reappointed to the position of Town Attorney for a two year term, effective immediately, with a salary of $47,888.00.

RESOLUTION NO. 31 ACCEPT MINUTES

Councilman O’Donnell, offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and unanimously adopted:

RESOLVED, that the Regular Town Board and Audit Minutes of November 26, 2001 are hereby accepted.

New Business:

A long discussion took place re between the Town Board Members re the addition of motions to add members to the boards. The reorganiztional meeting historically has not been a meeting for contentious resolution. After long disussion the following took place.

RESOLUTION NO. 32 APPOINT PLANNING BOARD MEMBER/3YRS

Councilman Troy offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman O’Donnell and on a Roll Call was adopted:

RESOLVED, that Albert Rossi is hereby appointed to the Planning Board for the unexpired term of Thomas Warren for three years effective January 8, 2002 through December 31, 2004.

Ayes: Councilpersons Troy, O’Donnell, Fisher

Noes: Councilwomen Manning, Supervisor Kleiner

RESOLUTION NO. 33 APPOINT PLANNING BOARD MEMBER/7YRS

Councilman Troy, offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman O’Donnell and on a Roll Call was adopted:

RESOLVED, that Anthony Urica is hereby appointed to the Planning Board for a term of seven years effective January 8, 2002 through December 31, 2008.

Ayes: Councilpersons Troy, O’Donnell, Fisher, Manning

RESOLUTION NO. 34 APPOINT ARCHITECTURE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD OF REVIEW MEMBER 3YRS

Councilman O’Donnell, offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and unanimously adopted:

RESOLVED, that this meeting is hereby adjourned at 10:30 P.M. in memory of John Devlin, Pearl River, George Glum, Past Principal of Pearl River High School, Stan Rose, Eleanor Ackerson, Margaret Platz and Margaret Brown.
