SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
MONDAY, APRIL 7, 2008
This Special Town Board Meeting was opened at 6:37 p.m. Supervisor Kleiner presided. The Town Clerk called the Roll. Present were:
Councilman Denis Troy
Councilwoman Marie Manning
Councilwoman Nancy Low-Hogan
Councilman Michael Maturo
Also present: Charlotte Madigan, Town Clerk
John S. Edwards, Town Attorney
Teresa Kenny, First Deputy Town Attorney
Suzanne Barclay, Exec Asst. to Supervisor
Charlotte Madigan, Town Clerk, led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
RESOLUTION NO. 240 ENTER STBM/TOWN PERSONNEL INTERVIEWS/SOUTH ORANGETOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT/SCHOOL BOARD
Councilman Maturo offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilwoman Manning and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that Town Board entered this Special Town Board Meeting to conduct Town personnel interviews and to hold a discussion with the South Orangetown Central School District, School Board.

RESOLUTION NO. 241 APPROVE/CSEA COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
Councilwoman Manning offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Maturo and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that Town Board hereby approves the Collective Bargaining Agreement by and between the Town of Orangetown and the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc. (“CSEA”), dated April 7, 2008, and hereby authorizes the Supervisor and the Town Attorney to sign same.

RESOLUTION NO. 242 APPROVE/COMPENSATION FOR EMPLOYEES ON CSEA EXCLUSION LIST SCHEDULE A
Councilwoman Low-Hogan offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilwoman Manning and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that all employees with job titles that are specifically itemized on the CSEA Exclusion List (Schedule A) and members of Land Use Boards should receive general salary increases of 3.5% for 2007, 3.5% for 2008 (including retroactive pay), 4.0% for 2009, and 4.0% for 2010, except that Elected Officials shall not be included herein.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that such employees shall also receive the other benefits and leave as specified in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Orangetown and the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc. (CSEA), dated April 7, 2008.

Councilman Maturo offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilwoman Manning and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that the Town Board adjourned this Special Town Board Meeting at 10:40 p.m. and entered Executive Session.
