POLICE COMMISSION/EXECUTIVE SESSION

WORKSHOP

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2014

 

This Police Commission Meeting was opened at 7:00 p.m. Supervisor Stewart presided and the Town Clerk called the roll.

 

Present were:  Councilman Denis Troy

Councilman Thomas Diviny

Councilman Paul Valentine

Councilman Thomas Morr

 

Also present:

 

Charlotte Madigan, Town Clerk

John Edwards, Town Attorney

Teresa Kenny, First Deputy Town Attorney

Jeff Bencik, Finance Director

James Dean, Superintendent of Highways

Joseph Moran, Commissioner of DEME

Aric Gorton, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation

Donna Morrison, Human Resources Coordinator

Kevin Nulty, Police Chief

Donald Butterworth, Police Captain

James Brown, Detective Lieutenant

Michael Davin, Lieutenant

 

Charlotte Madigan led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 110                                          ENTER EXECUTIVE SESSION     DRUG ENFORCEMENT 

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

 

In attendance, at this Executive Session, were Supervisor Stewart, Councilmen Troy, Diviny, Morr and Valentine, Kevin Nulty, Donald Butterworth, James Brown, and          Michael Davin.

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Board entered Executive Session to discuss drug enforcement, at 7:03 p.m.

 

Ayes:         Supervisor Stewart

Councilpersons Troy, Diviny, Morr, Valentine

Noes:         None

RESOLUTION NO. 111                                          ENTERED WORKSHOP

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Board entered the Workshop Meeting at 8:05 p.m.

 

Ayes:   Supervisor Stewart

Councilpersons Troy, Diviny, Morr, Valentine

Noes:   None

RESOLUTION NO. 112                                          REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL/SNACK SHACK CONCESSION/VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

Resolution No. 112 – Continued

 

RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Town Attorney, issuance of the Request for Proposal to the general public on February 26, 2014 is hereby authorized.

RESOLUTION NO. 113                                          RE-ENTER EXECUTIVE SESSION      

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Valentine and was unanimously adopted:

 

In attendance, at this Executive Session, were Supervisor Stewart, Councilmen Troy, Diviny, Morr and Valentine, John Edwards, Teresa Kenny, Jeff Bencik, James Dean and Donna Morrison.

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Board re-entered Executive Session to discuss Park’s Department legal case, at 9:10 p.m.

 

Ayes:         Supervisor Stewart

Councilpersons Valentine, Troy, Diviny, Morr

Noes:         None

RESOLUTION NO.  114                                         RE-ENTER WORKSHOP ADJOURNED

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Valentine and was unanimously adopted:

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Board re-entered the Workshop Meeting and adjourned at 10:20 p.m.
