SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

 

AUDIT MEETING

 

MONDAY, AUGUST 4, 2008

 

 

 

The Audit Meeting was opened at 10:50 p.m. from the Workshop Meeting. Supervisor Kleiner presided and called the roll.

 

 

 

Present were: Councilman Denis Troy

 

Councilwoman Marie Manning

 

Councilman Michael Maturo

 

Councilwoman Nancy Low-Hogan

RESOLUTION NO. 541 PAY VOUCHERS

 

 

 

Councilwoman Manning offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Maturo and was unanimously adopted:

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that the Finance Office is hereby authorized to pay vouchers for the General Fund, Town Outside Villages, Blue Hill, Broadacres, Highway, Sewer, Trust and Agency, Special District, Special Parking and Capital Projects Funds for a total amount of $1,100,757.87.

RESOLUTION NO. 542 AUTHORIZED/AGREEMENT AIG

 

INSURANCE COMPANIES/

 

 

 

Councilwoman Manning offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign an agreement with AIG Insurance Companies for Public Employee Insurance pending further negotiation with carriers by Susan Pilla

RESOLUTION NO. 543 AUTHORIZED/GRANT/2008 JUSTICE CT.

 

ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

 

 

 

Councilwoman Manning offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that the Justice Court is hereby authorized to apply for a 2008 Justice Court Assistance Program grant to the State of New York Unified Court System.

RESOLUTION NO. 544 POLICE DEPT./POLICE OFFICER

 

RETROACTIVE SALARY

 

 

 

Councilwoman Manning offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, employee #1095 is hereby assigned to the duties of a “police officer” retroactive to August 2, 2008, at a salary consistent with the terms of the labor Agreement between the Town of Orangetown and Orangetown’s Patrolman’s Benevolent Association.

RESOLUTION NO. 545 ADJOURNED AUDIT/ENTERED EXECUTIVE SESSION

RESOLVED, that the Town Board adjourned the Special Town Board Audit Meeting and entered Executive Session at 11:00 p.m.
