Town Boards & Committees
Orangetown's boards and committees are almost entirely volunteer-based. Every year, volunteers are appointed by the Town Board to serve on a board or committee. Volunteer members attend meetings and serve as either advisors (e.g. golf committee) or decision-makers (e.g. planning board). The Town Board makes these appointments at the beginning of the calendar year, or fills vacancies as they occur.
