This plan shows the proposed concept for the redevelopment of Town land formerly a part of the Rockland Psychiatric Center. The concept illustrates proposed market rate age-restricted housing, age-restricted affordable housing, affordable housing for volunteers and 12 non-age-restricted single family homes. A reconfigured Broadacres Golf Course provides a buffer between the new housing and the existing Rockland Psychiatric Center.
The Town Board, acting as lead agency, in connection with the environmental review process under the NYSEQR Act will hold two public scoping sessions. At such sessions the Board will consider significant adverse impacts that may result from the proposed zoning text amendment creating a new RPC-H zoning district for property formerly a part of the Rockland Psychiatric Center and the redevelopment of the property within the proposed zone.
