Term of Office: January 1, 2008 - December 31, 2011

Returning from managing a Western education program in China, lifelong Tappan resident Michael Maturo pursued his passion for public service and successfully campaigned for the Orangetown Town Council in 2007, becoming the youngest Town Councilman in Orangetown's history and ostensibly in all of New York, at age 23.

"I am thrilled to be able to work with such political, professional, and community talent here in Orangetown.  We are a unique piece of Rockland and must embrace, enhance, and promote that fact," says the University of Southern California graduate.  There are many issues that he works with his colleagues on but Michael also specializes in Sparkill's downtown improvement, commuter issues, environmental improvement, and youth involvement.

Mike Maturo serves as Liaison to the following Town committees: Blue Hill Golf Committee, Bureau of Fire Prevention, Historic Areas Board of Review, Housing Authority, Environmental Committee, Commuter Task Force and Sanitation Commission.

Michael is Director of Sales Operations at UNISON LLC of Nyack and serves on the  Microsoft Board of the Future.
