FAA Airspace Redesign Project

The Federal Aviation Administration is completing a seven- year study to analyze and redesign the airspace over the Newark, LaGuardia, and Philadelphia airports. Flight paths over this airspace have not been significantly altered since the 1960s. The purpose of the study is to increase efficiency and improve air safety. The FAA's website has FAQs, a summary of the study, as well as the Environmental Impact Study. For more information, visit: www.faa.gov/nynjphl_airspace_redesign.
