Units and Teams

The Orangetown Police Department contains numerous specialized units with police officers who have undergone
additional training for particular operations and responses.

The following is a list of some units and teams OPD staffs:

Detective Bureau	The department charged with the responsibility of clearing any and all crimes.
CV Enforcement Unit	Enforcing our commercial vehicle regulations.
C.I.R.T.	Our team trained to deal with hostages situations.
Honor Guard	Successor to the town Color Guard and often appears at parades, funerals and dedications
Auxiliary Police	A large group of volunteers often used at public events, such as street fairs.
