ICE SKATING AT VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARK
The ponds at Veteran's Memorial Park are now GREEN flagged at this time and safe for skating.  Ponds will be checked regularly and this site will be updated as necessary.  A reminder that red flags = unsafe skating conditions and green flags = safe skating conditions. 


Summer Employment
Student and adult applications looking for summer employment in the Recreation and Parks Office are now available in the downloadable files section of this page.  Applications must be complete, include all necessary paperwork and returned to the Recreation and Parks Office no later that March 20, 2015.   


SKI RESORT DISCOUNT TICKETS

The Recreation office is selling discount tickets for many local ski resorts. This year's resort list includes Killington, Windham and Hunter Mountains as well as two new resorts - Mountian Creek and Pico Mountain. A flyer with ticket prices can be found here. Payment can be made by cash or check only. Tickets will be available until Monday, March 9, 2015



ADULT SOFTBALL LEAGUE MEETINGS
The organizational meetings for the 2015 season will be held on Monday, March 23rd at the Greenbush Auditorium in Orangeburg.  The women's league meeting will start at 7:00pm and the co-ed league meeting will begin at 7:30pm.  The league is open to teams only.  Single players should attend the meetings in hopes of being placed on a current team.  The season will begin in mid-April.  Any questions, please e-mail the office at recreation@orangetown.com

 GIFT OF GOLF

Gift certificates are the perfect gift for for your favorite golfer! The certificates can be used for Greensfees and Golf Cart Rental fees, can be of any value and never expire. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, credit or check. Gift certificates are available all year long at the Recreation and Parks Office during normal business hours Monday to Friday and also available at the Blue Hill Golf Course when the course is open.

Regal Cinemas Discount Ticket Program

The Office of Recreation & Parks is selling discounted movie tickets for the new Regal Cinema in the Shops at Nanuet. Tickets never expire! Movie tickets are great gifts for college students, friends, neighbors and even the bus driver. Save up to 30% off the price of the theatre box office price. Please visit our downloadable files section for a flyer with prices, and purchase terms and conditions. Tickets can be purchased between the hours of 9:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Accepted forms of payment are cash or check.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Town of Orangetown Parks and Recreation Department is to deliver leisure time opportunities through safe, well-organized and affordable programs and a comprehensive network of parks, trails and open spaces to promote the mental, physical and social well-being of our residents.

 


Program Flyers

The Department mails flyers to its residents three times a year (early March, May and September), outlining the upcoming programs it will offer. Copies of the current flyer are available on this website, at the Office, local libraries or at Town Hall.

The office also has a resource display of brochures from areas of local interest.


Office Hours

The Parks and Recreation Office, located in a historic sandstone house in Veteran's Memorial Park, is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
