Summer Concert Series
On Fridays in July and August the Orangetown Recreation Department will sponsor a summer concert series featuring some of your favorite music.  Bring a lawn chair or blanket and your voice to enjoy the best summer music series in the county.  Veteran's Memorial Park features a full serve concession stand, bathrooms and plenty of parking.  A flyer with the Orangetown Concert dates can be found here

The Office of Recreation & Parks is accepting applications for new teams for the 2016 Fall season.  The league runs weeknights from late August to late October at Veteran's Memorial Park in Orangeburg.  Interested teams should contact the office @ no later than August 20th.  A meeting with the director will be necessary in order for new teams to participate.

As the summer dwindles down, so does the amount of tickets we have remaining to some of your favorite theme parks.  Click here for a flyer including the theme parks and prices.   Many of our ticket prices are 20% off the regular gate price and some can save you over 30% off the gate price.  Tickets are good for the 2016 operating season.  Tickets can be purchased Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and will be available while they last through Wednesday, September 7th.

As of January 1, 2016, Applied Golf has been retained by the Town of Orangetown to manage the golf course operations at the Blue Hill Golf Course.  Applied Golf will also continue to manage the Broadacres Golf Course.  For information regarding greenfee & cart rental fees, permits and the seasonal time program please visit:

The athletic lighting at Veteran's Memorial Park and Independence Park have been turned on for the season.  The lights will be on until 10:00pm for the months of July & August except during inclement weather.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Town of Orangetown Parks and Recreation Department is to deliver leisure time opportunities through safe, well-organized and affordable programs and a comprehensive network of parks, trails and open spaces to promote the mental, physical and social well-being of our residents.


Program Flyers

The Department mails flyers to its residents three times a year (early March, May and September), outlining the upcoming programs it will offer. Copies of the current flyer are available on this website, at the Office, local libraries or at Town Hall.

The office also has a resource display of brochures from areas of local interest.

Office Hours

The Parks and Recreation Office, located in a historic sandstone house in Veteran's Memorial Park, is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
